Основною метою проєкту є створення ефективної системи, де громадяни, об'єднані в пожежні дружини, отримують необхідні знання, навички та ресурси для вчасного виявлення та ліквідації загорянь у лісах. Проходження тренінгів, надання необхідного обладнання та сприяння формуванню ефективної комунікаційної мережі – це лише деякі аспекти діяльності цього проєкту.
В рамках проєкту були створені інформаційні стенди про небезпеку лісових пожеж для кожної з пілотних громад.

Добровільні пожежні дружини стають активними учасниками системи протипожежного захисту. Вони відіграють роль надійного ланцюга, що забезпечує оперативну реакцію на виникнення загорянь. Крім того, ця ініціатива викликає в громадах почуття відповідальності за стан навколишнього середовища та сприяє формуванню екологічно свідомого суспільства.
Просвітницька діяльність проєкту включає в себе регулярні навчання, проведення інформаційних кампаній та заходів для громадськості. Це сприяє поширенню усвідомлення про необхідність протидії лісовим пожежам та розвиває культуру безпеки в природі серед населення.
Завдяки цьому проєкту та активному залученню громадян у діалог та спільну дію, Україна може значно підвищити ефективність протипожежного захисту лісів та забезпечити сталість їх використання для наступних поколінь.
Educational activities of the project's volunteer fire brigades
The project "Establishment of a Public Forest Fire Protection System in Ukraine", implemented by the All-Ukrainian Environmental League with the assistance of the US Forest Service, is an important initiative aimed at engaging volunteer fire brigades in forest fire prevention and control. This educational activity plays a key role in increasing public participation in nature protection and forest conservation.
The main goal of the project is to create an effective system where citizens organized into fire brigades receive the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to detect and extinguish forest fires in a timely manner. Training, providing the necessary equipment, and facilitating the formation of an effective communication network are just some of the aspects of this project.
As part of the project, information stands about the danger of forest fires were created for each of the pilot communities.

Volunteer fire brigades are becoming active participants in the fire protection system. They play the role of a reliable chain that ensures a rapid response to fires. In addition, this initiative fosters a sense of responsibility for the environment in communities and contributes to the formation of an environmentally conscious society.
The project's educational activities include regular trainings, information campaigns, and events for the public. This helps to spread awareness of the need to combat forest fires and develops a culture of safety in nature among the population.
Thanks to this project and the active involvement of citizens in dialogue and joint action, Ukraine can significantly improve the effectiveness of forest fire protection and ensure the sustainability of their use for future generations.
