Під час зустрічі було обговорено компоненти системи підтримки ухвалення рішень, визначено їх ролі та взаємодію в контексті протидії лісовим пожежам.
Спікери Лісової служби США внесли важливий вклад, поділяючи свої знання та досвід у розробці та впровадженні сучасних систем підтримки ухвалення рішень. Сервіси прогнозування надають керівникам служб з надзвичайних ситуацій інформацію для: підтримки рішень, розробки довгострокових та короткострокових стратегічних планів, очікування значної пожежної активності та визначення потреб у розподілі ресурсів, ефективного інформування про надзвичайні ситуації державних службовців та громадськості.
Учасники зустрічі активно обмінювалися ідеями та враженнями, надаючи конкретні приклади успішних підходів до ухвалення рішень в сфері лісового господарства. Особлива увага була приділена прикладам підтримки ухвалення рішень у контексті лісових пожеж, розвиваючи стратегії та технології для ефективного протидії цьому серйозному виклику.
Зустріч стала важливим кроком у співпраці між учасниками та Лісовою службою США, сприяючи обміну знаннями та формуванню комплексних підходів до протидії лісовим пожежам.
Meeting «Decision Support for Wildfire Management: Predictive Services and Decision Support»
On September 5, an online event on decision support for wildfire management: forecasting services and decision support was held with the participation of experts from the US Forest Service.
The event was attended by representatives of the State Emergency Service, in particular the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, and experts from the project «Creation of a public forest fire protection system in Ukraine».
During the meeting, the components of the decision support system were discussed, their roles and interaction in the context of combating forest fires were defined.
Speakers from the U.S. Forest Service made an important contribution by sharing their knowledge and experience in developing and implementing modern decision support systems. Forecasting services provide emergency managers with information to: support decisions, develop long-term and short-term strategic plans, anticipate significant fire activity and determine resource allocation needs, and effectively communicate emergencies to government officials and the public.
The participants of the meeting actively exchanged ideas and impressions, providing specific examples of successful approaches to decision-making in the forestry sector. Particular attention was paid to examples of decision support in the context of forest fires, developing strategies and technologies to effectively address this serious challenge.
The meeting was an important step in the cooperation between the participants and the US Forest Service, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and the development of integrated approaches to combating wildfires.
