У зустрічі взяли участь Павличенко Петро Гаврилович, координатор проєктів Лісової служби США в Східній Європі та Україні, очільник Кушугумської громади Сосуновський Володимир Сергійович, Тимочко Тетяна Валентинівна, голова Всеукраїнської екологічної ліги, начальник оперативно-координаційного центру Головного управління ДСНС у Запорізькій області Сичов Олександр Вікторович, а також заступник голови громади Владислав Василега, кервник Місцевого пожежно-рятувального підрозділу Кушугумської громади Денис Лінгур та фахівчині Агенції розвитку Кушугумської громади.
Під час зустрічі учасники мали можливість обмінятися ідеями щодо участі громади у заходах проєкту.
За результатами зустрічі у Кушугумській громаді анонсовано створення Добровільного пожежного підрозділу.
Проєкт «Створення громадської системи протипожежного захисту лісів в Україні» за підтримки Міжнародної програми Лісової служби США (U.S. Forest Service International Programs) реалізується Всеукраїнською екологічною лігою з 2022 року за активної участі територіальних громад, об’єктів природно-заповідного фонду України та підрозділів ДСНС у Хмельницькій, Тернопільській, Житомирській, Черкаській, Полтавській, Київській, Дніпропетровській областях.
Основною метою проєкту є посилення протидії лісовим пожежам в Україні через створення системи добровільних пожежних дружин в громадах.
Завдання проєкту:
– формування та навчання учасників команд добровільних пожежних дружин у громадах;
– підготовка, видання навчально-методичних матеріалів для добровільних пожежних дружин та інформаційно-просвітницької роботи з населенням для попередження лісових пожеж;
– забезпечення членів добровільних пожежних дружин – учасників проєкту необхідним індивідуальним спорядженням та технічними засобами.
– розроблення сайту добровільних пожежних дружин;
– проведення навчальних лекцій та семінарів, практичних занять на місцевості та інтерактивних тренінгів, конференцій;
– виготовлення та встановлення інформаційних стендів щодо попередження лісових пожеж;
– підготовка та видання навчально-методичних матеріалів для подальшого використання цільовими громадами.

Consultation meeting with representatives of Kushugum community
On December 20, 2024, a consultative meeting was held with representatives of the Kushugum territorial community (Zaporizhzhia region) on the work of municipal and volunteer fire brigades within the framework of the project «Creation of a public system of fire protection of forests in Ukraine», implemented by the All-Ukrainian Environmental League with the assistance and support of the U.S. Forest Service International Programs.
The meeting was attended by Petro Pavlychenko, US Forest Service Project Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Ukraine, Volodymyr Sosunovskyi, head of the Kushuhum community, Tetyana Tymochko, head of the All-Ukrainian Environmental League, Oleksandr Sychov, head of the operational and coordination center of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Vladyslav Vasileha, deputy head of the community, Denys Lingur, head of the Local Fire and Rescue Unit of the Kushuhum community, and specialists from the Kushu Development Agency.
During the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas on community participation in project activities.
As a result of the meeting, the creation of a Volunteer Fire Department was announced in the Kushugum community.
The project «Creation of a public system of fire protection of forests in Ukraine» with the support of the U.S. Forest Service International Programs has been implemented by the All-Ukrainian Environmental League since 2022 with the active participation of territorial communities, objects of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine and SESU units in Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kyiv, and Dnipro regions.
The main goal of the project is to strengthen the fight against forest fires in Ukraine by creating a system of voluntary fire brigades in communities.
Project objectives:
- Formation and training of members of volunteer fire brigades in communities;
- Preparation and publication of educational and methodological materials for volunteer fire brigades and public outreach to prevent forest fires;
- providing members of volunteer fire brigades participating in the project with the necessary individual equipment and technical means.
- Developing a website for volunteer fire brigades;
- Conducting educational lectures and seminars, on-site workshops and interactive trainings, conferences;
- production and installation of information stands on forest fire prevention;
- preparation and publication of educational and methodological materials for further use by target communities.
