Захід був організований Всеукраїнською екологічною лігою в рамках проєкту «Створення громадської системи протипожежного захисту лісів в Україні» за підтримки Лісової служби США.
Під час зустрічі було обговорено кілька ключових тем, пов’язаних із лідерством, управлінням і комунікацією. Учасникам також акцентували увагу на упередженості до дій – визнанні проблеми, пошуку рішень та прояві ініціативи.
Комунікація розглядалася як основний інструмент управління, із фокусом на п’ять ключових обов’язків: інструктування, підбиття підсумків, повідомлення про небезпеки, підтвердження отримання інформації та постановка уточнюючих питань.
Окрема увага приділялася характеристиці лідера, його вмінню брати на себе відповідальність, діяти рішуче та бути взірцем для інших. Учасникам було запропоновано виконати вправу з брифінгу, де вони могли попрактикуватися у розробці сценаріїв та представленні своїх рішень.
Завершальним етапом стало обговорення Аналізу вжитих заходів, де всі мали змогу поділитися своїм досвідом. Створення позитивного управлінського клімату, заснованого на взаємній довірі, відкритому спілкуванні та спільній роботі, стало основною метою цієї зустрічі.
Робоча зустріч з обговорення курсу Лідерства стала важливим кроком у зміцненні співпраці між Україною та США у сфері управління надзвичайними ситуаціями.
Presentation and discussion of the Leadership Course
On December 11, 2024, a working meeting to discuss the Leadership in the Fire Service course was held between experts from the US Forest Service and representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions. The event was organized by the AII-Ukrainian Environmental League within the framework of the project «Creation of a public forest fire protection system in Ukraine» with the support of the US Forest Service.
During the meeting, several key topics related to leadership, management, and communication were discussed. Participants were also emphasized on the bias for action – recognizing a problem, finding solutions, and taking initiative.
Communication was viewed as a key management tool, with a focus on five key responsibilities: briefing, debriefing, reporting hazards, acknowledging receipt of information, and asking clarifying questions.
Special attention was paid to the characteristics of a leader, his or her ability to take responsibility, act decisively and be a role model for others. Participants were asked to complete a briefing exercise where they could practice developing scenarios and presenting their solutions.
The final stage was a discussion of the After Action Analysis, where everyone had the opportunity to share their experiences. Creating a positive managerial climate based on mutual trust, open communication and teamwork was the main goal of this meeting.
The discussion of the Fire Service Leadership Course was an important step in strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the field of emergency management.
